Getting started.

This blog was created to document my wife`s and my preparation, and travel before returning to the U.S.

In the spring of 2003, I spent some time living and teaching English in Phuket, Thailand.  Soon after that, seeking work with more money and less food poisoning, I ended up in Wakayama, Japan.  Soon after arriving in Japan, I met my future wife, C.

We were married in the fall of 2005.  I ran my own small English teaching company, but in fall of 2007 we decided to relocate to the U.S. to pursue our opportunities there.

This blog, if my lazy ass keeps up with it, will be used to record our travels in Europe before we finally leave Japan behind.
